Meet Our Team

Watching my 2 boys, 19 and 17, grow into awesome young men. I love sports, drawing, bourbon, camping, and making people smile and feel good about themselves.

Being here for almost 19 years, there are so many, but I love any team building (Tough guy and gal challenge comes to mind), and anytime I can make a difference in someone's life.

Loves to spend her spare time at the gym doing exercise classes and working on her weight lifting skills and also spending as much time as possible with her dog and partner - going out for beach or bush walks and playing amateur backyard tennis.

Feeling so welcomed by the team on her first day, she is loving the structure and organisation that the company provides.

Coming back after a 10 year break and finding that Allied is STILL the best place to work. I love that our customers are used to receiving the best service from us, but we still manage to surprise them occasionally with more than they expected!

Family, chasing his daughter around all her dance and netball activities (a long waterproof coat is essential). Bruce also enjoys snowboarding and playing computer games online. Recently he has started teaching himself to sketch and draw with pencils as a way to relax.

Working in Inventory & Procurement ensuring we have what we need, when we need it, as well as keeping our inventory in check. Callum enjoys skiing, snowboarding and mixing music as an aspiring DJ, though not all at the same time.

Knowing that what we do makes a real difference in people's lives.

Spending time with her cats. She has two beautiful mischievous teenage cats that push her limits in the best way. Cher also loves food. Cooking – partial to a good pasta and avid home baker. Meeting new people and learning from others.

As the newest member Cher is often in awe of her colleague’s knowledge and attention to detail – the enormous amount of empathy everyone has for the work that they do is so inspiring. The common feeling of making a daily difference in someone’s life is contagious and makes the company a great place to work at.

Having had the opportunity to work alongside some amazing people within this rewarding industry for the last 12 years. His goal has always been to improve the quality of life for everyone. Chris has a keen passion for both sales and people and its these skills combined that he is excited to be bringing to the Allied Medical team. Originally from Hawkes Bay, Chris enjoys getting out and about for walks and going camping, spending time with family and friends, wine, cars and his crazy cat, Beans.

Chris is brand new to Allied Medical and is excited to be a part of our team. He is grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to see what the future brings!

Helping people be more independent to get them out and about. After work, Craig spends time with his kids, follows rugby and lots of other sports. He also really enjoys cooking up a low and slow BBQ Texas style. 

Being welcomed by the Allied Medical team, who make you feel like you are part of the team straight away. 

Working in a fun, highly effective team where everyone plays their part in achieving goals. Edward swims, surfs and cooks. Quite well in fact. Dinner at Edwards anyone?

Being able to contribute towards team members learning to do their job well and see them gain confidence to come up with their own ideas.

Travelling. She loves to travel and explore mountains, beaches and different tourist spots.

Being warmly welcomed by the Allied Medical Team. She loves how kind and helpful the people are.

Knowing that our products help someone get on with everyday life. Her favourite pastimes are gardening, fishing and walking. On weekends you’ll find her with a paint brush in hand, renovating her house. Grace can’t sit still.

Travelling NZ in his English caravan with his wife. They have been EVERYWHERE and love meeting people on their getaway’s. Grant's new puppy Maggie loves travelling with them and recently had her first swim at Lake Dunstan. Grant's hobbies include biking, fishing and exploring NZ as they all sit well with the caravan road trip.

Rejoining the Allied Medical Team. After 30 plus years in the New Zealand Assistive Technology business it’s great to be back with an NZ, family owned business that upholds great service values to their people and customers. I feel blessed to be back with this amazing team. Looking forward to many more favourite Allied Medical moments.

At home, he spends time with his little boy Miro, gardens, growing spectacular dahlias in Dunedin’s short Summers and Autumns, cooks up a storm in the kitchen and watches bad Netflix series.

After an eternity with Allied Medical, it's hard to pin down a single moment. Allied Medical is a very special ‘place’ with an equally special team, and it is an absolute honour to still be out there, helping to make better lives for New Zealanders in need.

Travelling, walks and spending time with family. She has been all over the US, to Australia, England, Fiji, Thailand, Singapore and a cruise to Noumea and surrounding islands. She is a big kid at heart and also likes movies, playing PlayStation and Hello Kitty!

Working at a company that makes such a positive impact in people’s lives through the products they supply.

Spending time with friends and family, taking long naps, playing video games, going to the gym and riding through forests or at the skatepark.

When Hugh started, he noticed that everyone is very welcoming and nice. Allied Medical feels like one big team that are happy to help or support whenever you need.

Spending time with her family and friends. Her passion is makeup, fashion and watching cooking shows. Her favorite is Masterchef. 

Being able to attend the ATSNZ Disability Expo and see our products in action amongst others in our industry. What we do here is so important to make every moment count. In my role, I make sure we have the right product readily available for customers so that when they place their order stock is available. 

Rehab and Mobility. Be it seeing a child stand for the first time or putting someone into their first Power Chair - Jill’s happy. Between walking, biking and spending time with loved ones, including her fur baby, Jill can juggle many things at once. Including literally being able to juggle.

Working with a great Team of people who I can call when need be and get advice so we can provide the best solution to a clients needs.

Making things happen! She especially likes when she is working with other Allied Team members and our customers to develop solutions to challenges. After more than 25 years working at Allied, she always gets excited when we solve a new challenge for someone. Outside of work – Katie's family is super important to her and together they love taking on active challenges – like mud runs and crazy dog walks.

There have been plenty of these over the years, but she still always feels really happy when she sees someone out in the weekend in their powerchair or wheelchair doing exactly what she is doing with her family and friends. It is such a great reminder as to why we do what we do at Allied Medical.

Working with the technicians to get products ready for our customers. She gets a kick out of seeing people become more mobile and independent. An avid bookworm Katrina loves a bit of quiet time to chill with a good book.

Getting to build a great camaraderie with the sales people I support. Also getting to dress up in different costumes to raise money for different charities is a lot of fun!

Working closely with therapists and clients to offer the most appropriate solutions, so that the client can be independent and active. Kelly enjoys being in the great outdoors - wandering up mountains, being on the water and is always planning the next adventure. She loves trying any new restaurants, which is good as at times her cooking leaves a lot to be desired!

Any team event - we have such a great bunch of people at Allied, there is never a dull moment! Although the Tough Guy and Girl Challenge has to rate up there, so much mud and tears of laughter all the way!

Working with the Allied Medical team who continually exceed expectations. Ken is also very active in the community from volunteering to mentoring nine companies, and being a Trustee at Hospice North Shore. Ken enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, travel and lazy time at the beach.

Establishing Allied Medical in 1998 with Katie, partnering with great suppliers and clients, having an incredible team and enjoying the journey.

I absolutely love baking and I love my "wilderness" garden.  One of my favourite things to bake combines the two, it's an Aromatic Shortbread using whatever happens to be in abundance at the time - a recent batch included rosemary, kawakawa and red clover.

Witnessing the joy of both the client and her whole family, as a tetraplegic client mastered the Head Array controls of her Edge 3. There were tears of joy from everyone, except the client herself who was absolutely beaming from ear to ear!

Staying fit and active by running competitively, which means he eats everything! But he especially likes Italian, Mexican and Sushi. He loves relaxing around home and being with family and friends. Kirk prefers dogs over cats.

Sending products out that benefit those in need, along with everyone being friendly and willing to help.

Being in an industry that helps people. She loves that the equipment we supply can make a difference to people’s lives. Not just a true Kopite (Liverpool supporter), Lyn also once swam across the Auckland Harbour from the North Shore for the Ocean Swim Series.

When out with the Techs and Sales Team seeing first hand what a difference the equipment makes to people. 

Spending quality time with her family, and she loves summer - sun, beach, sand and taking long walks with her lovely dog, Coco. She also loves a good pasta!

Mariska loved the way everyone made her feel welcome and believes that Allied Medical has a great onboarding process for new team members. 

Seeing how readily everybody works together at AML to help people to get on with their lives. Away from work, there's always something around the house and garden to keep Mark busy. He loves to travel, and catch up with friends over wine and food.

Discovering just how good a workplace feels when its purpose is to enable ​people to live independently with dignity.

Spending quality time with her husband and family - be it traveling or just simply staying home dining together. Melissa just moved to New Zealand in October 2022 and is really loving its natural beauty.

Colleagues who are always ready to help newbies like her navigate the ins and outs of the business.

Sending products out quickly to ensure a speedy delivery. At home you'll find him playing on his guitar or killing zombies on his PlayStation 4. Michael doesn’t like tomatoes.

Being outdoors and spending time with his young family. a Proud rugby supporter who loves to search for his golf balls on the course every other Sunday. 

Most definitely the day he had the opportunity to go out with one of our Technical Product Specialists to set up a new powerchair for a client. It was great to see the joy it brought to the client and made Paul realise that every chair we build has such a positive impact on the end user’s quality of life.

The much needed practice and playing of golf. He also enjoys following the All Blacks and Liverpool FC. Phil likes to spend time with friends, listening to music, reading a great book or watching a great movie and endures pilates.

Spending time with her family which includes three beautiful grandchildren. She also enjoys fishing, boating, doing jigsaws & Sudoku. She also loves Cats & Christmas with a passion!

Hockey - both her children have played for the past 8 years and she spends most of her weekends watching them, which she really enjoys. Otherwise she loves being outdoors with her dog and hanging out with friends.

Everybody has been so welcoming and helpful its made the transition into a new job really enjoyable.

Having a great degree of control within his job and that he assembles, builds, and refurbishes equipment that he himself uses on a day to day basis.

Such moments aren't few or far between with his fellow workshop crew... The banter and laughs are certainly what highlight each and every day for Scott. Solving a problem or creating a solution is what he loves doing.

Working in a great team to bring customers the best solutions and make a difference to their lives. Outside of work you’ll find Scott out hunting, fishing or skiing the Queenstown slopes.

Whenever Tim brings his dog Buckles to work, who gets to hang out in the Tech area.

Sharn's all about capturing stunning drone shots and exploring New Zealand on his Triumph. He also loves cruising around on electric scooters with family and friends.

It's the great banter in the workshop with the crew. But what really lights him up is finding the perfect solution for clients and witnessing their joy as they embrace their new equipment and the adventures it brings.

Chasing adventures and finding cool new spots. As a true foodie, I'm always up for trying the latest eats at funky restaurants. I love going for walks with my son Jackson and my two dogs, but also love relaxing on the couch with a good movie. 

Feeling so welcomed by the team since day 1. I love working for a company that makes a huge difference in people's lives and working with people who have a passion for what they do. 

Working to ensure our website is user friendly, informative and an enjoyable experience along with creating meaningful content for our customers and product users. Tania enjoys cycling with her family, reading and yoga.

Using the skills he has gained in the industry to help people at a personal level. Tim's passion for all things mechanical see him spending his own time tinkering with his classic cars. Tim also shares his property with his dog, cockatiel, and a lovebird.

Having worked on his own for quite some time before joining Allied Medical, he enjoys being part of a team again.

Sports, especially football and tennis. He has an eclectic taste in music, and particularly enjoys listening to various forms of jazz and rock.

Connecting customers with our products and services through supporting his high-performing customer-focused Field teams. Wayne also enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. Although he is no longer playing competitive Rugby and Cricket, he is still an avid follower of both – CRUSADERS forever!!......Oh and he really likes a good coffee.  

Too many to list! But seeing kids having a go with our RaceRunner Bikes has been amazing. So great to see their smile as they tear down the track.

Being part of the team that gets to meet all the wonderful therapists who do such a great job in what is a very demanding role has also been a highlight for me.
