Description

The Comfort-Truss Single Side Hernia Belt is designed to be a super comfortable, flat pad hernia truss. It is a low profile option compared to other big, bulky and uncomfortable hernia belts on the market. Designed for people with active lifestyles that suffer from a reducible inguinal hernia on either the right or left side. Get your life back! The belt can be worn in or out of the water on the left or right side for a reducible inguinal hernia. 

What makes it so comfortable?

  • Super Flexible Nylon Lined Breathable Neoprene
  • 3mm fabric is slim fitting and does not bulge your clothes out
  • Leg Strap is not so thick to feel bulky, but not thin enough to dig into the skin
  • Flat pad does not dig in to the hernia site but supplies ample hernia support. The smooth, silky side of the fabric goes against the skin.

Pant Size/Waist Measurement

Small: 28 - 31" | 71 - 79 cm
Medium: 32 - 35" | 81 - 89 cm
Large: 36 - 39" | 91 - 99 cm
X-Large: 40 - 43" | 101 - 109 cm

Also available in Right Hand Side. Women should measure low around the waist, above the wide point of the hips, about 1 inch above the top of the pubic bone. Then match that measurement to the corresponding waist size on the size chart (See Specifications Table). If you are in between sizes, lean toward the smaller size as the fabric will stretch out a bit over time.

A Few Important Tips

  • Make sure that your hernia is fully reduced before donning the Comfort-Truss. Reducing the hernia means simply pushing the hernia back into the abdomen. Some people have to lie down on their backs in order to accomplish this. If you cannot push the hernia back into the abdomen, you should not be wearing a hernia truss and should seek medical advice ASAP.
  • The smooth, silky side of the fabric, the pad pocket opening, and the label goes against the skin.
  • If you ordered more than one Comfort-Truss, it is recommended to rotate the use evenly between all of the belts rather than just use one at a time until it wears out.
  • Remember, the Comfort-Truss is designed to fit tight, so when you first get it you might have to stretch the waist strap up to five inches to get the velcro fastened. It will stretch out as it breaks in over time.
  • If you are replacing a belt that you've been wearing for a while, the new one will feel much tighter at first but will break in and stretch to fit.

Minimalist Design - Constructed from a single piece of lightweight, breathable neoprene with a rash proof inner layer. No seams except to hold the pad pocket and velcro. This means an incredibly comfortable hernia truss with no chafing, which moves with your body no matter what you're doing. There are also no metal buckles or loops so you won't have any embarrassing incidents at airport security!

Amphibious - Designed by an avid surfer and all around active person, this product stays where it's supposed to both in and out of the water. The waterproof closed cell foam padding will not absorb moisture.

Undetectable Under Clothing - Low profile design is completely undetectable even when worn under swim trunks. It sits low on the waist so you can wear it under any clothing without it sticking up above your waistband.

Fully Adjustable - The velcro sticks anywhere on the fabric, which means you can attach the waist and leg straps anywhere you want for unlimited adjustability.

Most Importantly, Comfortable! - Super flexible, Extremely form fitting and perfectly sized leg straps will not dig in.

Care Instructions

Hand wash in luke warm water with mild detergent. Squeeze out excess water and hang to dry out of direct sunlight. Do not put it in the washing machine.

Because it is designed as a minimalist hernia belt, and for maximum comfort, there is no trim sewn onto the edges of the fabric. This means that over time, you will start to see small splits in the middle foam layer of fabric (especially in the groin area). This is completely normal, and will not effect the efficacy of the belt. 

FAQ's

Is there a guarantee that the Comfort-Truss will work for me?

The Comfort-Truss holds minimalism at the forefront of it's design characteristics. Although it works well for most people who use it, there is a small percentage of people who's hernias are too far advanced, or that have too much internal pressure for the minimalist design of the Comfort-Truss to work effectively. Therefore, we feel it would be misleading to say that it will absolutely work for everyone that uses it.

What type of hernia will Comfort-Truss work for?

Comfort-Truss is designed for reducible inguinal hernias only.

Should I wear the Comfort-Truss while sleeping at night?

We do not recommend wearing the Comfort-Truss while sleeping.

Should I wear the Comfort-Truss Under My Underwear?

Yes, it was deigned to be worn under your underwear against the skin. This will give the best support, and also allow you to keep it on at all times throughout the day, even while using the toilet.  

How do I wash the Comfort-Truss?

Hand wash only, luke warm water, mild detergent, air dry out of direct sunlight. Do not put any Comfort-Truss products in a washing machine.

Does Comfort-Truss work for women, and how do I know which size to get?

Yes, comfort-Truss does work for women too. We have many five star reviews from women. Since women's bodies are much different than mens, to make sure you get the correct size, you should measure low around the waist, above the wide point of the hips, about 1 inch above the top of the pubic bone. Then you can match that measurement to the corresponding waist size on the size chart.

Should I get a double sided Comfort-Truss Hernia Belt even though I only have a hernia on one side?

This really comes down to personal preference. For me (George) personally I only wear the single sidebecause I really do not like having to wear anything “extra” than what is absolutely necessary, but there are plenty of people who think along these lines and wear a doubleeven though they only have a hernia on one side. It definitely will not hurt to do it that way. Just keep in mind that the double belt is a bit more bulky because of the extra leg strap and the wider pad in the front to cover both sides.

How do I measure for the correct Comfort-Truss fit?

Men:  

Use your pants waist size to match to the guide below.  

Women:

Since women's bodies are shaped much different than men's, you will not be able to go off of your pants size. Take a measurement low around the waist about 1" above the ridge of your pubic bone. Match that to the guide below to get the correct size.

Can I wear Comfort-Truss belts when swimming?

Yes, you can wear all Comfort-Truss products swimming, however, do not soak the belt for long periods of time to clean it. Usually, just running it under cool water, and then squeezing the excess water out is enough to get it clean.
