Description

The VIP2 comes with an adjustable headrest with a greater range of position options while other enhancements include a deeper seat for taller users and a tension adjustable backrest. Product highlights are as follows;

Key Features

  • Tilt-in-Space: The Tilt-in-Space system allows the wheelchair user to change position throughout the day, which will redistribute and relieve pressure.
  • Lightweight: Weighing under 26kg in all sizes.
  • Foldable and Durable: The foldable design of the VIP2 ensures it can be easily transported in the boot of most standard family-sized cars.
  • Weight Shifting with Comfort: The design of a unique weight-shifting system aims to reduce the feeling of anxiousness some users have when going into the tilt position.  The system allows the centre of gravity to travel between the front and rear wheels while tilting which provides steadier balance and a greater feeling of security.
  • Anti-Sliding Reclining System: The reclining pivot point of the chair is located close to the user's hip joint, which synchronises the motion of the body and the chair, allowing for minimal sliding.
  • Modularised Design, Easy to Change: It is ideal for those suffering from progressive diseases, as it can easily be changed from a tilt-in-space only chair to a tilt and recline chair.
  • Curved Headrest: The curved headrest provides a wide range of adjustment and positioning. The head pad angle can be adjusted based on the user’s head.
  • Tension Adjustable Backrest: Unlike conventional wheelchairs, the backrest uses adjustable velcro straps to change the tension and conform according to the wheelchair user. This helps prevent slouching and the hammock effect.
  • Adjustable and Detachable Armrests: Adjust the height of the armrest by moving it up or down until you find the ideal height. A proper armrest height helps to relieve loads on the neck, shoulders, and arms and alleviate stress on the back. No tools required. The armrest is fully detachable and offers greater convenience transferring on and off the wheelchair.
  • J Hook Handles: Two J Hook Handles have been added to the back canes to provide extra height, allowing caregivers to move the VIP2 with ease and care. These are now a standard feature on all VIP2 wheelchairs.
  • AEGIS Microbe Shield: The upholstery is treated with Aegis Microbe Shield, which is approved by the FDA, EPA, EU, etc.. The anti-microbial upholstery inhibits bacterial and fungal growth, eliminates odor and is designed for easy cleaning. It is a shield for your health.
  • Two Legrest Options: The Karma VIP2 comes standard with Swing Away Legrests, however, Elevating Legrests are also available for purchase.
  • Anti-tipper: Prevents the wheelchair from tipping back.
