Self Funding Equipment

We understand that funded equipment can take time to assess, approve and supply. Some people may prefer to purchase equipment themselves so they can begin using it sooner, particularly when preparing to return home or managing an immediate safety concern.

A self-funded purchase may be helpful when:

  • Equipment is needed before funded equipment can be supplied
  • A person wants an additional products for another room or location
  • The required item or version of an item is not available through a funding pathway
  • A person would prefer to purchase their own equipment

Our team can provide product information, explain available features and help you compare suitable options. Purchasing a product privately does not prevent you from discussing funded support with your assessor or healthcare team, it can simply complement or extend the overall solutions available. You can purchase products through our website or at our retail store, Livewell, based in Albany, Auckland.
