WHILL started with a simple but powerful story. A friend of the founders stopped going out because he didn’t like how his mobility scooter made him feel. This wasn’t about function – it was about confidence and identity. WHILL was created to change that.
Founded in Japan in 2012 by engineers and designers from Sony, Olympus and Nissan, WHILL set out to create a "super cool" mobility device – one that felt more like a luxury tech product than medical equipment.
