Description
Description
The ToeOFF 2.0 is the updated version of the original AFO that was designed for users who have mild to severe drop foot as a result of stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Polio, Spinal Cord injury or other neuromuscular conditions. The shape is more organic, with shorter side extensions and more rounded shape. Also the surface is smoother and more scratch resistant.
Its carbon and Kevlar design absorbs energy at the heel strike and returns it at toe-off, restoring a more normal and dynamic gait. Absence of material at the back avoids contact with sensitive areas, such as the Achilles tendon, the heel and the malleoli. Wearers report that when wearing the lightweight AFO they are able to walk more normally and for further distances.
The low profile ToeOFF 2.0 can be worn within conventional shoes and is very easy to put on and take off - there are just two straps that attach it to the leg. It is also customisable and should be fitted by a trained professional, such as an Orthotist.
It is recommended that every ToeOFF 2.0 and Blue Rocker 2.0 AFO should have a soft interface between the orthosis and the tibial crest. SoftKIT is a padding system that includes two narrow neoprene pads to create a pressure-free channel to help relieve any potential discomfort from bony prominences. Click here to view the SoftKIT.
Check out the video tab for informative videos on how to choose your AFO support. For complete collection of videos, click here.
Please note we do not sell these direct to the public as they must be fitted by a clinician.
