Across Aotearoa, Show Your Ability 2026

Across Aotearoa, Show Your Ability 2026

This year, we were lucky to attend Show Your Ability events right across the country, from Auckland to Hamilton, Palmerston North, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Across every stop, we had the chance to share knowledge, demonstrate equipment, and have meaningful conversations with attendees from all over New Zealand.

We were incredibly fortunate to have Andrew Lopez, Clinical Educator from Quantum Rehab, join us on the stand. His knowledge, experience, and approachable way of explaining complex features made a real difference.

Andrew spent time with the attendees, walking through all the features Quantum Powerchairs offer in a way that was practical and easy to understand. It was not just about showcasing equipment, it was about helping people understand how these solutions can support real lives, in real environments.

We loved seeing many of you visit our stand multiple times, often bringing colleagues or clients along. It was great to see that sense of sharing and that spirit of community is what makes events like this so meaningful.

Show Your Ability in Action

We captured some of the most rewarding parts of the event, seeing people actively engage with the equipment, not just looking, but trying, adjusting, asking questions, and discovering what works for them.

In one of the more memorable moments, we even had a very enthusiastic little assistant step in to help demonstrate just how lightweight the eFOLDi is. He was even dressed for the part!

Behind the Scenes Moments

Of course, it wasn’t all focused conversations, hard work, and demonstrations—there were plenty of laughs along the way. From early morning team huddles before the doors opened to candid moments shared between visitors and our team, there was a strong sense of teamwork throughout. And then there were the unexpected highlights—like Chris heading off on what became known as the “mystery of banner land” during the Auckland setup, tackling a particularly stubborn pole that refused to cooperate.

Not everything goes to plan at events, but those light hearted moments are remembered fondly by the team.

Looking Ahead

Events like Show Your Ability remind us why we do what we do. Thank you to everyone who visited us, shared their stories, and spent time exploring the products.

We are already looking forward to the next one and to the exciting events we will be part of this year, including the All About Accessibility Expo in May, the Visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapy Conference (VNT) in July, and Assistive Technology Suppliers New Zealand (ATSNZ) in November.
